Dear Friends,

We have safely arrived in Russia. We had a great flight and were able to rest for a few hours on the plane. The ground was covered with snow when we traveled through the city. All luggage is here minus one of Tamra’s personal bags that was lost on the train to Voronezh. Fortunately she lost only a few items that I’ll be able to purchase for her today. Your prayers were answered! We breezed through customs and passport control with no problems. Worth noting… traffic in Moscow makes one really appreciate Atlanta’s highways. It took several hours to get to the office which is normally a 30 minute ride. Most of us did get some more sleep though…smiling…

Yesterday we had a Papa John’s pizza fellowship with the staff at the Association for Spiritual Renewal Moscow office. ASR is the national representation of Russian Ministries. It was very encouraging to hear the reports of what projects are ongoing in Russia through ASR’s 25 regional training centers. A wonderful surprise… The Moscow office has already translated four chapters of Undercover Princess discipleship and leader guide materials. We’ll be able to use the chapters for the week’s camp.

We arrived in Voronezh at 8 am this morning after a long 11-hour train ride from Moscow. The team is a little tired; however, they are thrilled to be here. Of course, Niko and Tara have already been outside having snowball fights. They love the weather. It sure was a great way to wake up this morning.

Right now the team is at the church in Voronezh practicing for this evening’s program with the national youth ministry team. Kristen is also holding a training session to prepare the youth leaders on the Undercover Princess materials.

We will leave today at 1:00 for Rossosh. It will take three and half hours by bus. All 32 team members will board the bus soon. And already the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes and the Russian Ministries Backpacks for Blessings have arrived to be loaded on the bus to take with us to Rossosh. We will first settle into the hotel rooms then setup for the evening program at the orphanage.

Thank you for your prayers. Everyone is healthy and safe and excited about the week ahead.

Rich blessings.

Christina for the entire team
