This is an awesome representation for the hope of Russia. Through this young Voronezh ministry team we trust that God will do a great work in the hearts of many in this nation. These are our brothers and sisters in Christ. Please continue to lift them up to the Lord in prayer.
Baptist are still persecuted in Russia and are seen as a cult. The Orthodox church strongly opposes the work of the Baptist Union. During the Communist era Baptists were not given the opportunity to have higher education or good paying jobs. Instead they were offered only blue- collar work. The society still looks at this community as being uneducated and lacking. Yet, the Lord has chosen them to bring glory to Himself. And indeed these youth are now well-trained and educated. They will have a greater influence on their community. It is encouraging to see the Lord's fingerprints on the hearts of these youth--indeed, He has been molding them and preparing them for their ministries.
Pray for the protection, safety, boldness, and courage of these young leaders. May God use them mightily and bless them beyong measure.
